Myers Park is Charlotte's original planned streetcar-suburb — laid out in 1911 by landscape architect John Nolen on 1,200 acres of former cotton fields. The street pattern is deliberately curved around mature willow oaks, and the Queens Road / Queens Road West corridor is a tunnel of tree canopy that residents fight fiercely to protect.
Housing is almost exclusively single-family, dominated by 1920s – 1950s estates ($1M – $5M+), with occasional teardowns for new builds. ZIP codes 28207 and parts of 28209. Tight historic preservation rules keep the feel consistent.
Zoned to Myers Park Traditional (elementary), Alexander Graham Middle, and Myers Park High — the latter consistently among the top public high schools in NC with a sprawling 150-acre campus and competitive IB program.
